Basic Fire Fighting (BFF)

The Basic Fire Fighting (BFF) course is a practical program designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills to prevent, control, and respond to fire emergencies in the workplace. The course covers fire safety principles, types of fires, fire prevention measures, and hands-on training with fire extinguishers and firefighting equipment, focusing on construction and industrial environments.

Participants will gain confidence in recognizing fire hazards, implementing preventive strategies, and taking immediate action during fire incidents to protect lives and property.

Course Objective

The objective of this course is to provide participants with foundational fire safety and firefighting skills. By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basic principles of fire, fire behavior, and fire prevention.

  • Identify common fire hazards in construction and industrial workplaces.

  • Select and correctly use appropriate firefighting equipment and extinguishers.

  • Respond effectively to fire emergencies following safety procedures.

  • Assist in fire evacuation and emergency response planning.

  • Promote a fire-safe culture within the workplace.
