Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
The Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills to safely isolate and control hazardous energy sources in the workplace. The program covers LOTO procedures, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and safe work practices to prevent accidents during maintenance, repair, or inspection of machinery and equipment.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in implementing LOTO systems to protect personnel and ensure workplace safety.
Course Objective
The objective of this course is to equip participants with the competency to implement and follow effective LOTO procedures. By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Understand the principles and importance of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
Identify hazardous energy sources associated with machinery and equipment.
Apply LOTO procedures safely and correctly.
Conduct risk assessments to ensure safe isolation of energy sources.
Comply with workplace safety regulations and organizational LOTO policies.
Promote a safety culture by preventing accidental machine start-ups and energy releases.
