Rigging, Slinging and Signalman
The Rigging, Slinging and Signalman course is designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required for safely lifting and moving loads in construction and industrial environments. The program covers rigging techniques, sling selection, load handling, and the role of the signalman in coordinating lifting operations.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in identifying hazards, using proper lifting equipment, and communicating effectively to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Course Objective
The objective of this course is to equip participants with the competency to perform rigging, slinging, and signaling tasks safely and effectively. By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Understand the principles of safe rigging and slinging.
Select appropriate lifting equipment and slings for various loads.
Inspect and maintain rigging equipment to ensure safety.
Plan and execute safe lifting operations in construction environments.
Apply correct signaling techniques to guide crane operators and other personnel.
Identify potential hazards and implement risk control measures.
Promote a culture of safety during lifting and material handling operations.
