Safety And Health Committee (SHC)
The Safety and Health Committee (SHC) course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to establish, operate, and maintain an effective safety and health committee within the workplace. The program covers committee roles and responsibilities, meeting protocols, hazard identification, accident investigation, and strategies to promote a strong safety culture in construction and industrial settings.
Participants will gain practical guidance on engaging employees, implementing safety initiatives, and ensuring compliance with occupational safety regulations.
Course Objective
The objective of this course is to equip participants with the competency to effectively participate in or manage a Safety and Health Committee. By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Understand the roles and responsibilities of committee members and representatives.
Organize and conduct effective safety and health committee meetings.
Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.
Monitor safety performance and review incidents to prevent recurrence.
Promote employee engagement and communication on safety and health matters.
Support continuous improvement of workplace safety and health programs.
